I hold a BSc (Hons) Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM): Acupuncture from Westminster University, London, followed by specialist training in China.
I have also studied under Dr Trevor Wing of The Womens Natural Health Clinic and gained a post graduate Diploma and in-depth knowledge in Western and TCM conditions, covering all aspects of fertility, obstetrics and gynaecology.
TCM changed my outlook on life and gave me a springboard to an endless journey of learning, understanding, balance, health, well being.
I have travelled to many countries learning from Masters in various fields and can only thank them for their generosity of kindness, teachings and spirit. I am passionate about my work on 'land' - Acupuncture, Moxa, Massage, Cupping, Reflexology, Sound Therapy and in 'water'.
Ai Chi and Jahara have opened up new dimensions for healing, not just for the patient but also for me, personally.
I have been privileged to help patients who have life limiting illness; patients with pain management issues; fertility patients and pregnancy; patients with stress, anxiety and numerous other issues.
I have had extensive training in Micro-system acupuncture and Moxabustion (Moxa) therapy and am committed to my ongoing studies and expanding my learning.
I have experience working within the NHS system and was a volunteer pracitioner at St Joseph's Hospice for 5 years and at The Disability Foundation (TDF) at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore for 2 years, treating a wide variety of conditions including pain management, neurological conditions and supporting cancer patients.
I set up Seated Acupuncture Group sessions at St Joseph's and TDF where these methods of treatment have been very successful and have been used at other clinical settings.
My goal is to share my knowledge and experience with my patients and my peers. I regularly give back by doing voluntary work. In November 2017 I travelled to India as a voluncteer practitioner giving free treatments to under privileged patients using auricular and body acupuncture.
I run seminars and talks for practitioners and for the public.
